Counterfeit Cock

The Star newspaper in Jamaica has reported that there is a preponderance of evidence that people are selling Counterfeit COCK Soup. 

It has been reported that the knock offs are being sold as (3 for $50), a discount that is sure to tempt every soup lover in the country and of course Grace don't want dat!  Grace Kennedy is advising the public to be on the look out for the counterfeits packaged in its Grace brand sachets, which are being sold in a number of outlets across the island. The company issued a press release last Wednesday advising that the counterfeit packages do not have the barcode which is printed in black on the lower section (below the rooster's wings) of the sachet. In addition they are not properly sealed. Checks for the knock offs by Grace turned up products first in Ocho Rios market as well as Coronation market in Kingston.  Tell me now, if you have yu pot pon fire an smaddy bring yu one a di 3 for $50 an it look like cock soup, an it smell like cock soup . . . . A dat mi sey! . . 

Sumfest 2013

SUMFEST 2013 kicks off on Saturday July 21, 2013 at 2:00 P.M.with the Ultimate Beach party at Aquasol Theme Park. Sandals Hotels & Resorts are on the rise when many others are falling. The hotel group led by Gordon "Butch" Stewart of Air Jamaica fame is looking at a great future in Caribbean Tourism. He is continuously improving his resorts and recently purchased the Four Seasons in Exuma, Bahamas and other properties in St Lucia. This week it was reported in the Jamaican Observer that the once revered SuperClubs has left its home market of Jamaica and that The Ritz Carlton in Jamaica was forced to sell out after faltering performances. If all the great Hotel investors are quietly easing out of Jamaica, does this mean that Butch is creating a monopoly? Your thoughts. . .

The Jamaica Gleaner newspaper has confirmed that VCB returned a positive test on May 4 in Jamaica. The test results came as a surprise to all, as it was told that she tested positive for a diuretic furosemide.  Diuretics are masking agents banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency because of their ability to hide the presence of performance-enhancing drugs in the system. So, what is Furosemide aka Lasix?  - "It is a loop diuretic (water pill) that prevents your body from absorbing too much salt, allowing the salt to instead be passed in your urine. Furosemide treats fluid retention (edema) in people with congestive heart failure, liver disease, or a kidney disorder such as nephrotic syndrome. This medication is also used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension)" - This info was found on Drugs.com website. We are all waiting to find out the outcome and we still say a noh so . . .
